Estimated Payout Date (#26)

It would be nice to see an estimated date for payouts calculated from the user's:

  • Payout Threshold
  • Average contributing hash rate (could be a variable the user sets, RE: 24h Avg, 1Mo Avg, etc.)
  • Estimated difficulty increases

  • With the exception of accounting for difficulty, I believe this already exists on the dashboard, or something that in my eyes accomplishes the same goal.

  • An estimated date for payout will not be accurate enough in my eyes because of the fluctuating luck of the pool. When we are running at under 3hrs per block it stands to reason you will be paid out sooner than when we are hitting the 23hr blocks. As we don't know how long the next block will take to solve, you cannot predict when your next payment will be to any degree of accuracy. I know how much my reward is from a solved block, and I know my threshold amount, so I know how many blocks need to be solved to achieve payout. Taking this further, I worked out an average of around 4hrs per block (factoring in the 11+hr blocks we had recently), so I can work out how much I should be getting per day with average luck (some days will be better, some worse) Simple maths...

  • Don't cry about it here if you don't like it. Connect your miners and vote. You all do a lot of talking but no voting down. This one may make it... YOU NEED TO VOTE!

  • I dont agree with this. I like the payout threshold, it makes alot more sence to me. However. What would be a neat idea is. an avg of 24hrs, 1 week, 1 month etc. and this states. how many people on average per month are doing payout. how many people average are doing payouts per day. This relates to ONLY slush's pool, but I think would be really neat as it could possibly help you figure out some calculation for a proper threshold. (Just thinking outside the box)

  • I'd rather see development time spent on something else. This sort of thing is not a question when one has even a short payout history. A little experience goes a long way.

  • Sure I could, but all that data is already baked into the dashboard/or used calculate other dashboard items why not use it to create another useful UI feature?

  • you should be able to figure that out on your own from the information already provided
