Slush Pool version 3 public beta launched!
A monitoring app for smart phones (#12)

It would be really great if I could open an app on my smart phone to view all my account stuff like we see when we log into the web. VERY, VERY helpful.

  • I say we choose to develop a mobile web page OR an app, not both. They serve the same purpose and developing both will require more resources that could be spent on something else.

  • This app would be cool because it could also have settings to notify you on different things (Change in status of miner, When a block is found, When you receive a payout, ETC.) An Android and Apple app available to users could be highly versatile and helpful.

  • so this is where you post your pool app =) (i am working on a version right now with sqlite for tracking the blocks) still in early development, but should be able to provide most excellent graphs in the next version or two.

  • Hi everyone, I'm the developer behind BTC Stats Slush's Pool iOS app, a FREE way to check your mining stats and worker status on the go. There is no need to enter user nor password, just create an API Token ( Manage Tokens tab) which is read only and won't give anyone access to your bitcoins, and which you can revoke whenever you want. Please give it a try, all comments and suggestions are welcome !

  • BTCDroid for android works quite well. Usually has better updated information than the site.

  • BTCDroid is a great app.

  • Advantage of app over web page is ability to use phone push alerts and notifications, if thats built into the app.

  • To make it easy for operators, and to publish to multiple platforms - the easiest thing to do would be throw together a responsive web page and publish it using PhoneGap. Calls on API, supports Android and iOS, even Blackberry and Palm in one fell swoop and can always be used as a mobile web interface.

  • I use PoolWatch android app. It works with any JSON API and you can filter out just the stuff you want to see. Furthermore, you can set up notifications and it also has nice graphs and widgets.

  • i use android and i use cryptcoin monitor from raymond to, it uses the API not username and passwords, its a out of date (last update was over 1 year ago) and still has Horrible Horrendous Terrible Tremendous Mining Pool in its pool list) but it still works for slush pool, and has the ability to support any pool (via custom pool)

  • swifty8078: It's smoother.
    — iKornn, 16 March 2015, 12:03
  • I wont be entering my password into any apps or web pages not owned by the pool, even with two-factor authentication for payouts - quickest way to get your account hijacked. Even if the apps are known-secure today their owners could 'upgrade' them tomorrow to harvest passwords and post them back to the owner. The regular web pages are very awkward to use on my phone and it has a 5 inch screen.
    — roxburd, 04 March 2015, 21:03
  • Why not just login to the internet, why do people think and App is better it just a GUI interface from data it gets from the web site.
    — swifty8078, 22 February 2015, 15:02
  • I hope that gets added! :D

  • IOS Please

  • This would definitely be nice, while it is true that there are a handful of monitoring apps out there, it would be nice to see an official one supported by Slush and that provides more info (and hopefully without ads)
    — Onion202, 22 November 2014, 23:11
  • Thank you for the suggestions. I would like to have an app that looked just like my dashboard. I'm not interested in just seeing a small part of my login info. I would like it to look just like I logged in from a browser and see all my options to my account. IE, Dashboard, Workers, Monitoring, Rewards, Payouts, Activity Log, & Settings. I'm really not concerned on how the "whole pool" is doing, just my account.
    — gromans, 19 November 2014, 13:11
  • I use Slush's Pool Monitor (w/ Pro key) and Bitcare on Android. Recommend both.
    — friedpenguin, 18 November 2014, 23:11
  • I've used the bitcoincz app and currently the BTCDroid app. Both get the job done. In the end, I mainly use BTCDroid for the on-screen widget and just login to my dashboard via my web browser when I need more details.
    — musicmaker613, 18 November 2014, 14:11
  • There is BTCDroid Free for Android which I use and find it has everything I need to know, and you can have widgets for Hashrate, confirmed reward, block duration...
    — sideshowbob81, 18 November 2014, 08:11
  • ...or you could just log into the website on your smartphone which I prefer to do
    — kkurtmann, 18 November 2014, 06:11
  • there already is one, out for quite a few months now in IOS app store called bitcoincz
    — kkurtmann, 18 November 2014, 06:11
  • You can do this through the API.
